Synopsis
When her demanding cousin insists that she bring a date to an upcoming wedding, anxious and chronically overthinking Zara becomes determined to find the perfect plus-one. Her best friend Jamie quietly offers to accompany her, but Zara dismisses the idea—Jamie is a friend, not a real date. Instead, she throws herself into a frantic week of romantic experimentation, beginning with a wine-soaked encounter that leaves her managing an increasingly intoxicated stranger and continuing through a series of dates that range from awkward to completely chaotic.
Each new woman appears promising in a different way: an enthusiastic wine lover, a nervous online entrepreneur, a wellness-obsessed lawyer and a confident florist capable of sweeping Zara off her feet. Yet every date leaves Zara feeling increasingly out of place in the polished romantic future she believes she should want.
