Lilydale Films has commenced production on the romantic drama The Sleepover.

The feature film stars Australian actor Georgia Crisfield-Smith (Miss Fishers, Emo The Musical), Madelyn Sheahan (Tomorrow When The War Began) and Caylen Forbes (Romper Stomper).

Written and directed by Ric Forster (Flunk, Lifespam), the film is being shot on location in the Victorian Yarra Valley. Melanie Rowland will produce the film and Laura Turner is Associate Producing.

The Sleepover – Still hurting after their breakup, Tabby Taylor (Georgia Crisfield-Smith) is stunned when she comes face to face with her ex-girlfriend Heidi (Madelyn Sheahan) at a school friend’s sleepover. Forced to spend the night together – can Tabby and Heidi put the past behind them? Or will they fall in love again?

Director Ric Forster comments “I’m excited to be back on set with our fantastic performers to film this new feature film. Our Flunk audience has been begging for a deeper exploration of Heidi and Tabby’s romance and I’m thrilled to deliver a standalone story which puts that centre stage.”

The Sleepover is the latest feature film in the YA romance genre from Lilydale Films, having recently wrapped on The Exchange in Auckland, New Zealand.
