'flunk' picked up by us streamer here tv

FLUNK, the 8 part series for teens, launch on HereTV in the US in January.

The critically acclaimed Australian-made series is set in the picturesque Victorian Yarra Valley and includes standout performances from a talented cast – bringing a fresh take to high school dramas.

FLUNK focuses on shy sixteen-year-old Ingrid, as she falls for her best friend Stella – and is forced to juggle the pressures of a country high school and conservative Chinese-Australian family.

The series stars newcomers Jessica Li, Kelsie Adelaide and Caylen Forbes (Romper Stomper). Rounding out the Australia cast is Ben Nicholas (Footballer Wants A Wife) and Katherine Halliday (Blue Heelers).

Series creator Ric Forster comments, “The series strived to tell stories that will connect and resonate with a young audience. We’re really proud of how this series has come together and are thrilled it will reach US audiences via HereTV.”

FLUNK is created and produced by Lilydale Films and filmed on location in Victoria.
