Following the success of Australian feature film The Sleepover, Lilydale films has commenced production on a sequel to the hit YA, romantic drama with After School. The feature film stars Australian actor Madelyn Sheahan (Flunk, Tomorrow When The War Began), Caylen Forbes (Romper Stomper) and newcomer Holly Monks.

Written by Ric Forster (Hollyoaks, LifeSpam) and directed by Samuel Galloway (Mutt) the film is being shot on in studio and on location across the picturesque Victorian Yarra Valley. Melanie Rowland is producing.

After School – Following a messy breakup, Heidi (Madelyn Sheahan) swears off dating and vows to get revenge on everyone that’s crossed her. But when she finds herself stuck on detention with goodie-two-shoes Saffron (Holly Monks), Heidi’s forced to risk getting hurt again, or cut herself off from her friends forever.

Producer Melanie Rowland comments, “We’re incredibly lucky to again bring together such a talented cast and crew. This film pushes the bounds of the YA genre and tells a charming story of love and friendship that audiences will really connect with.”

The Australian cast is rounded out by Georgia Crisfield-Smith (Ms Fishers Modern Murder Mysteries, Emo The Musical) and Dominik Shields (Playing For Keeps).

After School is the latest feature film in the Young Adult Romance genre from Lilydale Films, having recently wrapped on 8 part series FLUNK.
